Bandon hurlers have thrilled, excited and liberated the whole club in the past week.

On Thursday evening last the under 14 hurlers took on and defeated a more fancied Newcestown team in the Rebel Og West Championship A semi-final at Enniskeane.

The lads led 05-02 at the break and put in a splendid second half before running out 1-12 to 0-8 victors.

We now await the victors of the Kilbrittain v Pedlars Cross clash in the final.

Better was to come on Saturday evening in Coachford where our Intermediate hurlers were on fire against Charleville winning out on a score of 2-17 to 1-13 after extra time.

The introductions of substitutes Ronan Crowley, Rory Fogarty, James O'Donovan and Roy Payne had a huge bearing on the final outcome and this augers well for the rest of the championship where there will be huge competition for places.

Well done to all the players and the management team of Niall O'Halloran, Don McCarthy, Paddy Cahalane and Niall Geary.
