Bandon GAA Club is a very busy place at the moment.

On next Saturday night 9pm in the Pavilion we are holding a fundraiser for the re-development of the Bandon Community Cottage Hospital when the very popular musician Patrick O’Sullivan will perform from 9.00 p.m. till late and a great night entertainment is guaranteed as well as supporting a great cause.

On Friday afternoon next Bandon Underage Club will participate in the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and everyone is advised to gather at St Patrick's Church car-park at 2.00p.m. in our club colours.

The Underage Club are holding their annual club Registration night in the Pavilion on this Wednesday night from 7.30 to 9.00 p.m.

The Junior Hurlers play St Oliver Plunketts in the first round of the Carbery League the same evening in the top pitch at 8p.m.

The Bandon U14's played their first league football league match away to Muintir na Gael in Drimoleague last Sunday.

It was a great team effort where Jake Lillis at centre forward and Brendan Twohig at full forward had super games. Tom Donegan was very strong in defence.

The concession of an early goal proved nothing to the team and they led 1-1 to 3-7 at the break and 1-7 to 4-15 at the finish.

Team:  Jack Cullen, Darragh McCarthy, Tom Donegan, Dylan Barr, Aaron O'Riley, Rory Desmond, Edward O'Leary, Ruairi Harrington (0-1), Tom Desmond, Cian McPartland (0-1), Jake Ellis (1-3), David McCarthy(1-6), Jack Heaney (1-1), Brendan Twohig (1-2), Matthew Kelleher (0-1). Subs:
Jack Callanan and Luke Quinlan.

The Minor Footballers  were defeated in the opening league fixture 2-11 to 1-5 away to Castlehaven on Sunday last.

The Premier Intermediate Footballers made it three from three in the Division 4 Football League last Tuesday evening upon defeating a robust Ballydesmond selection 1-13 to 1-3 in the top pitch.

Best wishes to Eoghan O’Donovan upon his recovery after he suffered a potential season-ending serous leg injury in this game.

Eoghan’s absence was felt all the more on Saturday evening in the RedFM Senior Hurling League clash at home to Ballymartle and we can have few complaints about the final 0-14 to 3-14 defeat.

The Clubs Lotto will be played again on next Thursday for a jackpot of 8,050 Euros and the Bingo jackpot is gone up to 540 Euros
