Minor

Well done to the Bandon Minor Non Exam Football Team that defeated Canovee away in Carraigadrohid last Tuesday week 23/05.

This was a 13 a side game and we had 14 players available. Things didn't look great when we lost Paul Lang to a leg injury after 10 minutes and looked worse when we had a player Black Carded before the break.

However two of our younger player's Cathal Lynch and substitute Cian Burke really shone in the second half as we scored 3-9 in that period to defeat our opponents on score of 3-17 to 5-13. Conor Calnan was the best player on the evening.

Team Oisin Doyle, Paul Lang, Jeremy Collins, Eddie Hetherington 0-1, Nelson McCarthy, Brendan Harrington, Shane Lowney 1-3, Olann McSweeney 0-1, Harry Lillis, Conor Calnan 2-7, Cathal Lynch, Ben Donegan 1-2, Cian Burke, James Collins O'Brien.

Next football game for this team is at home to Passage on this Friday evening 7.30pm

Lotto

Well done as well to Abbie Walsh on winning the Bandon GAA Lotto Jackpot of €3,500 last Thursday with the numbers 3, 11 & 20.

Robert Shannon was the ticket seller.

The 4 x €40 winners were B.A.F.C, Fionn Harrington, Elaine & Deirdre Murphy and Noelle McNamara.

SHC

Last and by no means least, well done to all involved with the Bandon Senior Hurling Team that were hard done by last Friday evening at Pairc Ui Rinn when defeated by Blackrock after extra time in Round 1 of the Championship.

We are proud of your supreme efforts and wish you the very best against Carraigtwohill in Round 2B.
