Underage AGM

The last few weeks has seen the changing of the guard at our Underage Age Club.

Maurice O'Keefe was re-elected as Treasurer but alas Chairman Ian Doyle and Secretary Hilary O'Driscoll have both stepped away after four very successful year's involvement with the club.

Ian and Hilary presented very comphrensive reports at the recent AGM.  Ian made reference to on going Coaching Development in the club and the successful School Coaching Programme under guidance of John O'Connell as a  means of raising the public profile of the club. Membership has doubled from 180 in 2013 to 360 in 2017, the number of coaches has increased to 70 and all this has been accompanied by success on the field leading to receiving the Rebel Og October 2017 Monthly Award.

Ian recognised the on-going generous sponsorship of the club by Caulfields SuperValu and his wife Eunice who runs the very successful Club Shop.

Hilary presented a lovely report, recognising the achievements of amongst others the successful under 15 and under 18 teams and dedicated her whole report to the memory of James Milner R.I.P. who was a great coach with that same Minor team up until his untimely passing in October.

Neilus McCarthy read the report of the out-going very successful Coaching officer Niall Geary.

Karl O'Mahony, Katherine O'Donovan and Fiachra Leen were unanimously elected as the new club Chairman, Secretary and Coaching Officer at the same meeting.

The first meeting of the club takes place on Thursday 9th December at 7.30pm.
