Bandon Underage GAA achieve GOLD award

Bandon Underage GAA are delighted to have achieved GOLD award for our 2015 Underage coaching programme in the Rebel Og Coaching Benchmarks 2020.
This five year programme was launched in the spring of 2015 and provide a template for best practice in coaching, promoting maximum participation and optimal playing standards in juvenile clubs throughout Cork city and county. The programme includes minimum requirements for entry, with subsequent progression to Bronze, Silver or Gold targets, which clubs would strive to achieve with the assistance of their local GDA. Requirements of the 2015 programme are attached for reference purposes.
Following a review by the GDAs and games manager, the results for 2015 from all applications are attached. In summary, from a total of 123 original entries, 72 detailed submissions were received. Of these 67 were successful, with 46, 15 and 6 clubs receiving Bronze, Silver and Gold status, respectively.
Bandon achieved GOLD award alongside Bantry Blues, Bishopstown, Carrigtwohill, Killeagh and Nemo Rangers clubs. Formal presentations will be arranged in the New Year.
Bandon Underage GAA achievement of Gold award in 2015 is a fantastic result for the club with Rebel Og Coaching recognising best practice for the large amount of work completed by Bandon Underage coaches and players throughout the year.
Thanks to the parents for their continued support as we strive for team and player development.
