The weather was kind to everyone last Saturday when the re-scheduled McCarthy Coaches Sponsored 'Poc Fada and Skills Competition' took place in the top field and ball alley.

There was a very large turnout of underage players and a smattering of adult players.

Kieran Hurley became the overall winner of the adults and whole competition on 153 points after 5 rounds of hurling and football skills.

Other worthy winners were Robert O'Driscoll Under 16 on 146 points, Tim Twohig Under 14 on 145 Points, Rory Desmond Under 12 on 97 points, Brendan Twomey Under 10S on 99 points and Daniel Coughlan Under 8'S on 86 points.

On last Wednesday evening, Finbarr Sheehy of our main club sponsor ABP Meats presented a set of jerseys to the county junior football winners and this was followed by a viewing of the recently released and not to be missed county final DVD in the pavilion.

This Friday night at 07.30 p.m. also in the Pavilion sees the holding of the annual Bandon Underage GAA Club fun family table quiz and thus get those thinking caps on.
