The Junior Hurlers lost out 01-07 to 0-11 to Kilbrittain in their opening game of the league on Sunday, the highlight being a fine goal by David Lehane after great work by Philip Murphy.

The past week has seen a surge in onfield activity, the Junior Footballers did not find it easy against Barryroe last Thursday evening before winning out 01-16 to 03-06 and this hard earned victory should stand to them in their opening championship game against Clann na nGael on Saturday night at 06.45 p.m. at Enniskeane.

The Under 14 Hurlers had to withstand a determined second half comeback away to Ballinascarthy last Saturday evening before winning on a score of 03-04 to 03-08. 

These lads play in Group A of the annual Feile competition at Ballincollig on Saturday morning against the hosts, Cobh and Shandrum.

It was great to see the under 16 hurlers record a victory of 01-11 to 01-10 over Sam Maguires in their opening league game last evening and they play St Pats next week.

The Minor Hurling league game against Western Gaels on Thursday night is postponed but the re-scheduled Minor Football game against Naomh Aban is on this Friday evening at 07.00p.m.
