The Adult Club AGM was held last Friday night.

Out-going Club President Mons Kevin O'Callaghan opened and closed the meeting with lovely words of praise for the historic double winning county PIHC and IFC players, their mentors and the club executive committee.

Of that committee, Secretary Don Desmond gave a very detailed account of the year's playing activities. Treasurer Niall Morrissey outlined the

financial performance and reminded everyone of the importance of continued fund-raising and the need to support the Club's Lotto.

Club Chairman Colman O'Mahony gave an accomplished speech in which he had special praise for the out-going Football Manager Colm Aherne and Hurling selector Niall Geary.

He thanked Monsignor O'Callaghan for his dedication as club president and welcomed Kathleen Canty in as the un-animous selection to become the clubs first female club-President.

Underage Chairman Ian Doyle updated the meeting on the many activites and achievements of the Underage club in 2016 (under 14-A Hurling County Champions and being awarded the Gold Level in the Benchmark 2020 Club Award Scheme) and that the medal's presentation for the under 6's to under 10's takes place in the pavilion on Wednesday 4th January at 6pm and the clubs AGM at the same venue on Wednesday the 11th January.
