Southern Star 1st April - 28/03/2017

Our Under 21B Footballers are looking forward to the Carbery Final at 3.30pm next Sunday at Ballinascarthy after we had proved far too strong for the Clann na nGael selection in the semi final last Saturday evening in Enniskeane.

Kilmacabea should prove to be much stiffer opponents after their own large victory over Kilbrittain but Ballinascarthy is a happy hunting ground for us and let us hope that run continues next Sunday afternoon.

Our Senior Hurlers exhibited great tenacity last Sunday evening after fighting back from the concession of an early goal and a 7 point deficit with 20 minutes remaining to draw with Bishopstown 1-11 to 0-14 in Round 3 of the RedFM sponsored League.

On this coming Saturday we host Glen Rovers at 6.30pm.

Team Pat Prendargast, Eoghan Ryan, James Walsh, Joe Harrington, Peter Murphy, Donough Lucey, James O'Donovan, James McSweeney, Cha Dullea, Darren Crowley 0-2, Jason Hickey 0-3, Cian O'Mahony, Robert Long, Marc Sugrue, Ronan Crowley 0-9, 6fs, 1 x 65.

Subs David Crowley.

Our Junior Hurlers host Diarmuid O'Mathunas next Wednesday 5th April in a League game at 8pm

Our Under 14 Footballers compete in Feile on Saturday at Bishopstown against the hosts, Inniscarra and Erin's Own.

Should they progress then they move to Whitechurch later in the afternoon for the Quarter finals.

The lads had a very good 6-10 to 1-7 League victory over Ibane Gaels last Saturday evening.

Our Minor Footballers were defeated 3-16 to 1-7 away to Canovee last Sunday evening.

Congratulations to Michael De Courcey who has won the Bandon GAA Lotto of  €8,400 last week with the numbers 10, 19, 40.
