B Shield
Final
Kilbree 3-9 Bandon 1-5
Venue Rossmore
Throw in 6.15
A disappointing end to the year for Bandon's second team losing this shield final to a much stronger Kilbree side on the night. A converted penalty by Kilbree in the first minute set them on the way and they led 3-3 to 1-1 at halftime. Christopher Trunwit scoring a great goal for Bandon and a point from David Whelton were Bandon's scorers. The second half was much close with Kilbree out scoring Bandon by 0-6 to 0-4. Points by the outstanding duo of John Buckley and Shane O Mahony and two frees from David Whelton is all that Bandon could muster.
